The Charging Tray replaces the small pile that collects at the edge of every desk. A 15W Qi coil sits flush in the main pad, so the phone you drop there on the way past is full again by the time you pick it up.
Around the pad, three felt-lined compartments take keys, cards, a watch, and whatever pens you actually use. The body is machined from a single piece of anodised aluminium and sits on a non-slip base, so it stays put when you grab something in a hurry.
It works through most cases up to 5mm, including MagSafe cases, and charges at 7.5W for iPhone and 10–15W for Android handsets.

Charges through a thick case
I was worried about my rugged case blocking the coil — no issue at all. It picks up straight away and there's no coil whine, which was my problem with the last pad I owned.

Great, wish the cable was longer
Build quality and layout are excellent. My only gripe is the included cable — a bit short if your socket is behind the desk. Swapped in a 2 m USB-C and it's perfect.
